NBC handed us a streaming service to explain. We shamelessly used Monty Python.

NBCUniversal’s ad-free comedy channel: $3.99 a month for shows, stand-up, films, and a Monty Python collection you couldn’t get anywhere else. Gone too soon.

The job: explain it, and tickle people’s funnycarriages. So the explainer went full Python, the only correct answer when Python is the product and you’ve wanted to do it your whole life.

Every streamer fights the explain-yourself fight now, with bigger budgets and worse jokes.
