		<description>DASANI is #AnythingButDry // #flavorfy with new DASANI DROPS

Challenge: Coke has an ambitious goal for their flagship water brand—to go from a brand known for its functional benefits to a brand consumers love for what it represents. To kickstart this effort, in 2012, Coke entered into a whole new product category with the introduction of DASANI DROPS, liquid flavor enhancers designed to plus up water. How can we turn DASANI and DASANI DROPS into badge brands with the same kind of cache as Apple or Target?

Big Idea: We leveraged the 1:1 power of social media to connect with fans, showing them what the new DASANI brand is all about—staying young at heart in a world that's #AnythingButDry. A brand for those who soak in every moment. A state of mind where even the worst traffic jam can become an epic traffic jam session.

Result: We've doubled DASANI's social fanbase to more than 150,000. For both DASANI and DASANI DROPS, we continue to increase awareness, inspire brand love and drive consumer trial by creating engaging content for Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

		<description>Let's hatch creative babies.™

Challenge: Ever since I was a kid knee-high to a grasshopper, I remember hoping to be blessed with an opportunity to start and run a company. (Weird thing for a child to want, I know.) Then on July 1st, 2010, I got the chance I've always prayed for when Matt Holloway, James Martin and your author here voted "yes" to launching our own underdog branding studio called Cardinal &#38; Company.

Big Idea: We needed a way to differentiate our young, fledgling agency from the older, bigger birds in the sky. Cardinal &#38; Company had to stand for something, to mean something more than "just another branding studio." Our first insight was to laser in on our authentic niche. Since we're entrepreneurs at heart, we knew startup companies would be our wheelhouse. Then from nowhere, another answer hit us: so far in our careers, we've busted our asses building brands for others. Why not use that blood, sweat and tears to hatch our own brands? 

Result: And that, ladies and gents, is how InLeBronWeTrust, Slumby &#38; The Santa Shirt came to be.

Challenge: Give people around the world a kickass, interactive way to showcase their unique creative styles.

Big Idea: Create a website where people can submit screenshots of their computer desktop workspaces. Incentive: posts include links to users' portfolios and Twitter pages.

Result: After a week, we received over 200 submissions and drew visitors from 97 different countries. Most of it thanks to press coverage from AgencySpy, NotCot and more. Then we were a day late renewing the domain name. Some guy in China bought it. He still has it.

Challenge: Most baby carriers are confusing, cumbersome, and worst of all, uncomfortable. How can we make a simple, streamlined baby carrier at a price point all parents can afford?

Big Idea: Create the Slumby™ Sling—a therapeutic, womb-like baby carrier scientifically proven to enhance parental bonding with infants. Made from one seamless piece of Pima cotton, Slumby™ Sling gives parents the freedom to keep one or both hands free while carrying and comforting their baby. 10% of all Slumby™ sales are donated to non-profit organizations aiding orphaned and impoverished children around the world.

Result: The first round of product has sold out. Word of mouth has been positive. Retail contracts secured, more to come.

		<description>Cuttin Up with Marcus Harvey

Challenge: Marcus Harvey is a rare combination: an established luxury barber and an up-and-coming comedian with incredible talent—who also happens to be one of the most humble, genuine people I've ever met. By coincidence or fate, we struck up a conversation at a Shane's Rib Shack one summer day. He wanted to take his comedy career to the next level; I wanted clients for newly hatched Cardinal &#38; Company. Marcus and his unique story fascinated me. All I could think about was how to help make Marcus famous.

Big Idea: Make a YouTube video series in which Marcus issues a challenge to the world: if you can sit in his barber chair for a haircut—without laughing—the cut's free. But if you laugh (and so far people always laugh), the money's donated to charity.

Result: In November 2011, we raised $158.10 for Movember Foundation during a live taping @ JWT Atlanta. Then to kick off 2012, we shot our first celebrity video with Chris Webber. Fingers crossed for even bigger results in the second half of the year.

		<description>The Few. The Proud. The Marines.

Challenge: While running Cardinal &#38; Company, I worked almost exclusively with entrepreneurial brands and startup companies. That changed in a big way when JWT Atlanta hired me to write for the United States Marine Corps—an internationally respected brand with a proud legacy spanning more than 236 years.

Big Idea: I had a lot to learn—and fast. Luckily, I loved war movies and Nerf guns as a kid, so I dove headfirst into Marine Corps books, films, videos, magazines, websites, you name it. In the Corps, every enlisted recruit undergoes 12 weeks of intense training to earn the title Marine. My first couple months was its own kind of ad boot camp, filled with ridiculously fun challenges.

Result: "Good to go" (that's Marine speak). Lots of assignments, very short deadlines. But hey, that's advertising. And since it's work that helps the Marine Corps and our nation, I'm always in.

Project Description
Ironman and the Marine Corps are natural partners—both organizations epitomize values of discipline, courage and dedication to excellence. When the Marines sponsored the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Las Vegas, JWT was given the chance to create a branded fan sign for supporters to hold during the race.

Rather than develop a plain-old, expected sign, we modeled our idea off the ammo cans lifted by Marine recruits during PT (physical training). On race day, tens of thousands of fans could be seen lifting their customizable ammo can signs.</description>
